Iron Bonehead Productions will release Nuclearhammer’s new EP, XAOS 333, on September 25th on CD and 12-inch vinyl.
The three-track recording dates back to 2018 and represents the first Nuclearhammer material to surface since Xaos Tenewas – Demo MMXXIII in 2023.
Active for more than two decades, the Toronto trio have continually pushed their bestial black metal foundations toward increasingly unconventional and hypnotic forms. XAOS 333 continues that trajectory, emphasizing repetition, violent atmosphere and an expansive use of reverberation rather than the more prominent power-electronics elements heard on earlier material such as Serpentine Hermetic Lucifer.
According to the label, the EP presents one of Nuclearhammer’s most intensely hypnotic manifestations in recent years, with its three compositions moving between abrasive attack and more spacious, trance-inducing passages.
