NEKUS and BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID join forces on Funerary Rites of Ancient Doom, a four-track split spanning 36 minutes of exclusive material and presented on vinyl LP by Caligari Records and Seed of Doom Records.
Germany’s NEKUS occupy the first side with a single 19-minute piece, “Dakhma.” The track moves between bestial grinding violence and a slower, desolate funerary weight, extending the band’s characteristic collision of primitive death metal structures and more abstract tendencies.
BLOODSOAKED NECROVOID take the second side with three new tracks. The Costa Rican-origin band, now relocated to Spain, continue to work within an oppressive cavernous sound where slow-motion grind, death metal and bestial pulses merge into a suffocating atmosphere.
Funerary Rites of Ancient Doom brings both bands together in a deliberately sepulchral and expansive split release.
