If Skull Crushing Violence already suggested what PROFANATION were capable of, Ultra-Noise Warfare pushes that destructive impulse much further. Across nine tracks and 27 minutes, the French band delivers a compact but overwhelming attack rooted in primitive death metal, grind urgency and a crushing sense of physical weight.
The references are easy to grasp but hard to emulate convincingly: the violent momentum of Terrorizer, the filthy old-school barbarity of Hadez and Necrovore, and a slower, oppressive dimension that recalls the heaviest moments of Doom or even the ritual stomp of more warlike acts. Yet PROFANATION do not sound like a mere collage of influences. The album feels immediate, organic and punishingly alive.
What gives Ultra-Noise Warfare its strongest identity is precisely that balance between speed and mass. The faster passages hit with raw, human intensity, but the slower moments leave the deepest mark, turning tracks like “Total Stomp” and “Realm of the Absolute” into exercises in pure obliteration.
A strong debut full-length and a convincing statement of intent.
